These pieces are where I put most of my focus on layout and color interaction.
This interactive book is about color interaction with a mix of narrative.
One may realize that most colors seen physically are merely hues affected by its environment. This can be especially seen with snow, where it is always affected by the color of the sky. But due to our universal association with the snow's icy appearance, we always associate it to be pure white.
In "Ivory", I portrayed this concept with polar bears. Throughout the booklet, I made sure to never use the hex code #FFFFFF, but instead used other hues that are related to their surrounding colors.
This project was about taking an imaginary flower shop and creating its brand, made up of a business card and a poster. I mixed in illustrative detail along with the sans serif text by using graphic translations from earlier in the process. The result balances the figure and ground well.
